WebP and AVIF output
Pro includes the capabilities available in QuickWebP Free, along with AVIF conversion and stronger compression. AVIF conversion requires a supported server running PHP 8.1 or later. AVIF files can be smaller than JPG and PNG files and are typically smaller than WebP. Automatic fallback helps older browsers receive a compatible image format.
Prepare images in the media library
- Set maximum width and height values to resize oversized uploads.
- Clean filenames and pre-fill alt text, caption, description, legend, and title fields.
- Paste a picture from the clipboard into the WordPress media frame.
- Review optimization information in the settings screen.
- Bulk-optimize older media when the original files are preserved.
These utilities fit image processing into the upload process. Bloggers, publishers, shops, and service websites can configure format conversion and size limits as they add media, while filename cleanup and metadata pre-fill reduce repetitive library tasks.
Configure and use QuickWebP Pro
Install and activate QuickWebP Pro in WordPress, then open its settings to set image dimensions and optimization preferences. For AVIF conversion, confirm that the server supports PHP 8.1 or later. Upload a test image through the media library and review the generated formats and metadata. For older media, use bulk optimization when the original files are available.
