Place related posts in the reading flow
Related Post Pro can show related posts on individual posts, pages, and custom post types, or beneath excerpts on archive pages. Place them before or after content or excerpts, or within content below the first, second, or third paragraph, or before the last paragraph.
Archive options include tag, category, date, author, search, and custom taxonomy views, as well as the home page, front page, blog page, and year and month archives.
Choose which posts appear
For an individual post, page, or custom post type, choose posts manually. Alternatively, set an advanced query’s maximum number of posts, order, and orderby parameters. Queries can use the current post’s categories, tags, and custom taxonomies.
Arrange and style the display
Choose a grid, slider, or list. Set entry width, margin, padding, and text alignment, then sort the title, thumbnail, and excerpt. You can show or conceal these components and adjust title and excerpt font size, color, padding, and margin. Thumbnail settings include height and picture size. Custom CSS can be added for individual elements.
Popup behavior and click tracking
Related posts can appear in a popup beneath a single blog post or custom post type. Choose from eight popup positions and set a delay. You can also trigger the popup when a reader reaches the end of the article content or the end of the page or footer.
Enable click tracking to see the top 10 posts in the related-post click statistics. Set link targets separately for the title, thumbnail, and read more link, with options such as _blank and _parent.
Add custom output
Add custom HTML after post titles, excerpts, or thumbnails. Third-party shortcodes can also be rendered after these elements. To place related posts elsewhere, use the extension’s shortcode in content or theme files.
