Filter posts and set their order
Paid features include filtering by category, tag or custom taxonomy, layouts for custom post types, custom tags, custom links for posts, and support for multiple post types. Category grids and sliders provide additional ways to show topic-based content. Featured and trending post functions can give selected articles a more prominent place, while timeline layouts arrange posts chronologically. The PRO feature list includes more than 90 news and blog designs.
Pagination settings include numeric pagination, previous and next links, Ajax-based options, Load More and infinite scroll. The available choices depend on the selected layout.
Build a display with shortcodes
Seven shortcodes display posts in different formats:
[bdp_post]for a grid[bdp_post_list]for a list[bdp_masonry]for masonry[bdp_post_slider]for a slider[bdp_post_carousel]for a carousel[bdp_post_gridbox]for a grid box[bdp_ticker]for a ticker
Shortcode settings can control the post limit, category by ID or slug, design, sort order, media size and whether to show details such as author, date, category, content, tags or comments. Depending on the layout, settings can also control pagination, slider or carousel playback, and ticker style and direction. The shortcode generator helps select a layout and adjust its parameters. Widgets are available for latest posts and vertical post scrolling.
Place the layout on a page
Install and activate the extension, pick a layout in the shortcode generator, then add its shortcode to the page or post where it should appear. If a page is assigned as the WordPress posts page in Settings > Reading, its content is handled separately. Set that selection to the default option, then edit the page and add the shortcode. The plugin works with WordPress themes, though a theme may need styling changes for compatibility.
