Carousel Block Pro extends Carousel Block for Gutenberg with more ways to control image viewing, slide movement and presentation. Add the Carousel block in the editor, insert images, arrange slides by drag and drop, then set up the carousel in the options sidebar. The base block includes captions and slide links, responsive width, height and column settings, autoplay, navigation, pagination, and Slide, Fade and Creative transitions. You can also adjust looping, speed, autoplay delay, slider background and padding, and whether slide links open in the same tab or a new tab.

Pro controls for browsing slides

Visitors can open a slide image in a lightbox. You can also place its link on the caption, alongside the slide’s click action. Enable touch movement for gesture navigation, move between slides with the mousewheel, or use Free Mode to let visitors drag slides freely. Free Mode can use optional sticky behavior.

Autoplay can stop after user interaction, pause when the pointer enters the carousel, execute in reverse, or stop on the last slide.

Additional transition effects

Choose Cube, Coverflow, Flip or Cards transitions alongside the base Slide, Fade and Creative effects. These settings suit image galleries, project portfolios, client logos and linked promotional banners.

For tablet and mobile layouts

Show or conceal pagination and navigation separately on tablet and mobile. Dynamic bullets provide another pagination style for carousels with multiple slides. The base block also lets you set width, height and column count independently for desktop, tablet and mobile.

Caption placement and styling

Pro caption settings let you show captions on hover, position them outside the image and change their vertical alignment. These options work with the base controls for caption typography, text alignment, overlay colors, text and background colors, and padding.

Installation and setup

1. Install and activate Carousel Block.
2. In the Gutenberg editor, add the Carousel block from the Widgets block category.
3. Add images and arrange the slides by drag and drop.
4. Configure the carousel in the right-side settings sidebar.
5. Enable the Pro options you need, then publish the page.
