Copy pages and posts with selected content

Copy Delete Post Premium duplicates WordPress pages and posts for reuse, comparison, or editing. Make a one-click copy or pick which elements to include, such as text paragraphs, pictures, video, featured images, and information from supported third-party plugins. Pages built with page builders can retain their custom options, and a page can be copied with its child pages.

Premium works with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for native WordPress pages and posts aligned with WordPress standards. It can also replicate pages across WordPress multisite installations. Settings can limit copying to pages, posts, custom post types, or all supported types.

Start a copy from the dashboard or editor

Copy controls are available on the All Pages and All Posts screens, individual edit screens, the admin bar, bulk actions, and in the Gutenberg editor. A copy started from an edit screen can open in a new browser tab. Settings let you conceal controls in selected locations, choose which WordPress roles can copy, set where to go after a copy, and show a reference to the original entry.

Save copy settings and name duplicates

Configuration sets store copy or deletion options so you can switch workflows without returning to the settings page. Export and import sets when managing multiple sites. Naming controls can add the copy date or time, an increasing counter, or a descriptive pattern to help identify duplicates in the dashboard.

Review and remove duplicate content

For cleanup, choose whether to scan pages, posts, or custom posts and which fields define a match: title, slug, excerpt, or word count. Choose whether to keep the oldest item or the newest. Review scanner results, search them to exclude items, and open a URL or slug to inspect a match before deletion. You can remove selected copies, use bulk cleanup, or enable automatic deletion. The cleanup can remove matches down to the last one, including the original. Automatic redirects are available for deleted pages or posts.

Deletion can be throttled on a slow server. The deletion code is described as optimized, though processing time can still depend on server conditions. For a server load test, the extension can duplicate up to 1,000 pages so you can observe server behavior.
