Collect files through WordPress pages and sidebars

Iptanus File Upload Professional adds front-end file submission to WordPress pages and posts with the [wordpress_file_upload] shortcode. You can also add the plugin widget to a sidebar, and use multiple shortcode instances on the same page or post.

What can visitors do during an upload?

The Professional edition works with multiple files and uploads larger than the basic configuration is intended for. Visitors can add files by dragging and dropping them. If a connection is lost, resumable uploads can continue until the file is fully uploaded. CAPTCHA offers an additional verification option, while detailed progress bars display more information during transfers.

After submission, uploaded files can appear in a list, and images can be displayed in a gallery. Custom CSS rules added through the shortcode let you adjust the form’s appearance.

What details and destinations can a form use?

Add checkboxes, text fields, email fields, or dropdown lists to collect information alongside an upload. File selection can be optional, allowing the form to work as a contact form.

Choose a destination folder from the available subfolders, add files to the WordPress Media area, or attach them to the current page. The add-on can also save uploads to an FTP location using FTP or SFTP.

How are submissions managed?

Notifications and emails can be produced after submissions, and customers can be redirected to another URL after a successful upload. Administrators can view files from the Dashboard’s Uploaded Files menu and manage them with the included file browser. Upload events and file management actions can also be logged for administrator review.

Which browser features should you check?

Use the Professional edition for project files, customer submissions, support forms, image contributions, screenshots, or webcam video uploads when the browser supports the required functionality. HTML5, AJAX, and CSS3 support help provide the intended experience, though older and mobile browsers may not support every feature.
