Set a separate search scope for each form

Ivory Search Premium extends WordPress search with unlimited forms that you can configure individually. A form can search posts, pages, WooCommerce products, images, files, attachments, and other custom post types. Choose fields such as titles, content, excerpts, categories, taxonomy terms and descriptions, custom fields, metadata, and WooCommerce product SKUs.

Premium controls include searches for WooCommerce product variations, posts by selected authors, author show names, post statuses, comment counts, approved comment content, and posts created on a specific date. Search can cover selected files, MIME types, and media such as images, audio, video, PDFs, and documents. You can also configure forms to search password-protected posts, posts without passwords, or both, and exclude specific content or limit results to selected post types and taxonomy terms.

Match queries and shape results

An inverted index-based search engine is designed for faster searching and can index shortcode content, including TablePress shortcode content. AJAX search can display results as users enter a query. Premium keyword stemming also searches for a term's base word; fuzzy matching can find the whole search term or words that begin or end with it.

Search options can include stop words and synonyms, and results can be ordered by date, relevance, ID, author, title, type, name, comment count, menu order, or at random. You can highlight search terms and set how many posts appear in the results. Specific content can be excluded from searches.

Customize forms and connect website content

Use the WordPress customizer to change form colors and text and select from available styles. The active theme also affects how a form appears. Place forms in a header, footer, sidebar, widget area, navigation menu, page, post, or custom post type with shortcodes, widgets, menu placement, or another supported website area.

Ivory Search integrates with WooCommerce and supports multilingual search through Weglot, Polylang, and WPML. It also integrates with bbPress and TablePress. Search analytics tracks searches made on the site.

Get started

1. Install and activate Ivory Search Premium on your WordPress site.
2. Use the Ivory Search menu to create a search form and configure its content sources, filters, and search behavior.
3. Place the form where visitors need it using a shortcode, widget, menu, or another supported display location.
