Bring expanded GA4 reporting into WordPress
Lara’s Google Analytics (GA4) Premium adds a full-width Google Analytics dashboard widget to the WordPress admin interface and inserts the latest Google Analytics 4 tracking code into all pages. It gives site administrators a convenient place to review important analytics data without leaving the WordPress dashboard.
The plugin is built for an easy setup process, with Express Setup intended to get the tracking and dashboard working quickly. Once configured, the widget presents analytics information through graphs and reporting views, including ecommerce reporting for WooCommerce.
Review key site metrics
The dashboard offers a quick overview of important Google Analytics metrics. The standard overview includes data such as active visitors, new users, sessions, screen page views, event count, average engagement time, and bounce rate. Premium also expands the available reporting beyond the basic overview.
- Check any date range instead of being limited to the last 30 days.
- View keywords provided by Google Search Console.
- Review real-time site users.
- Explore traffic sources and visitor countries.
- See operating-system versions, device types, and device brands.
These views help organize common questions about site activity, including where visitors come from, which devices they use, and how current traffic is developing. The dashboard also provides visitor data streams for most visited pages, browsers, languages, operating systems, device types, and screen resolutions.
WooCommerce ecommerce graphs
For WooCommerce sites, Premium includes ecommerce graphs with more customized earnings graph options. This gives store administrators a focused way to review ecommerce information alongside broader Google Analytics metrics in the WordPress admin area.
Multisite and access controls
Premium supports Multisite Multi-Network setups. Each blog or site in the network can have its own analytics tracking code and dashboard widget, allowing site-specific analytics configurations within the network.
Permissions provide control over which data can be viewed by blog administrators and users, with compatibility for Multisite Multi-Network. Lock Settings can prevent users from changing widget options or viewing other Google Analytics profiles. These controls are useful when several people work in WordPress but should not all manage analytics configuration or access every profile.
Premium updates and support
Buying the Premium version includes 12 months of free updates and support. The Premium feature set combines reporting flexibility with administration controls, making it suitable for individual sites, WooCommerce stores, and networks that need separate tracking and dashboard access.
Installation and setup
Install Lara’s Google Analytics (GA4) in WordPress and use Express Setup to begin configuring the connection and dashboard widget. Add or select the relevant Google Analytics tracking details, then review the widget in the WordPress admin interface. For a network, configure each site or blog with its own tracking code and dashboard settings as needed.
After setup, choose the desired date range and use the available reports to review traffic, visitor details, ecommerce graphs, and the additional GA4 metrics included with Premium.
