Present content in a WordPress modal
Use Modal Window Pro for announcements, promotions, contact options, event information, or other content you want to show without creating a separate page. A modal can hold a brief message or a layout with text, pictures, media, and forms.
Build the content and layout
The built-in HTML editor lets you add and format text, images, and other material. Shortcodes add specific content and layout choices:
- Responsive YouTube or Vimeo videos.
- iFrames for external pages or interactive content.
- Link buttons and controls that close the modal.
- Font Awesome icons.
- Rows and columns for arranging content.
Choose when a modal opens
Set a modal to open after a click, on a timer, when a visitor hovers over an element, when exit intent is detected, or in response to scrolling. A floating button can open it too. Customize the button’s position, icon, text, and animation, with styles such as bounce, pulse, and shake.
Adjust appearance and screen behavior
Style modal titles, close buttons, backgrounds, shadows, and scrollbars. Set a mobile width and conceal selected modals on mobile or desktop screen sizes.
Accessibility and show frequency
ARIA attributes such as aria-live and role="dialog" support screen reader use. Visitors can close a modal through the overlay or by pressing Esc. Cookie controls can limit how often it appears, including a show-once behavior for returning users.
Create and move modal settings
Create a modal in WordPress, add content with the editor or shortcodes, select an opening trigger, then adjust its styling, responsive settings, and display controls. Import and export tools let you move modal settings between websites.
