NinjaScanner Premium Edition: Background Scans and WP-CLI
NinjaScanner Premium Edition helps WordPress administrators review file integrity, scan for potential malware and viruses, and track changes between scans. Scans run in the background and continue if an administrator logs out of the dashboard.

Set scan coverage and review findings
- File Integrity Checker: Compares WordPress core, extension, and theme documents with their original packages. Premium themes and plugins can also be added to the checker.
- Anti-malware signatures: Built-in signatures scan for potential malware and viruses. The engine is compatible with Linux Malware Detect (LMD) signatures and some ClamAV signatures; custom signatures can be written.
- File Comparison Viewer: Shows differences between an original file and a modified file.
- File Snapshot: Lists files added, changed, or deleted since the previous scan.
- Database Snapshot: Compares published posts and pages with the previous scan to display additions, changes, or deletions.
Exclusion filters, algorithm selection, and an ignored files list let administrators adjust scan options. A debugging log and contextual help are also included.
Schedule scans and use WP-CLI
Premium scheduling works with recurring scans hourly, twice daily, or daily. WP-CLI integration delivers the ninjascanner command to start or stop a scan and view its status, report, or log from a terminal without opening the WordPress Admin Dashboard. Multi-website support is included.
Manage files and reports
When the integrity workflow identifies an infected or corrupted file, it can be restored with one click. A sandbox tests whether moving a file to quarantine could cause a fatal error. If the move would crash the blog, NinjaScanner warns the administrator instead of quarantining the file. Scan reports can be sent to one or more email addresses. NinjaScanner can also be added to the menu of NinjaFirewall WP or WP+ Edition. Premium includes a dedicated help desk with priority support.
Storage and setup
Scan data, reports, and logs are stored on disk. The database is used only for configuration, described as less than 1 KB. Caching helps reduce bandwidth and server resource use, and a Garbage Collector regularly cleans the cache.
Add NinjaScanner Premium Edition to WordPress and activate it. Use the scanning settings to configure exclusions, algorithms, logs, email reports, quarantine behavior, and schedules. Administrators using the command line can configure the WP-CLI integration and manage scans with the ninjascanner command.
