Sensei Pro extends Sensei LMS, Automattic’s WordPress extension for building online courses, lessons, and quizzes. It adds utilities for course sales, lesson pacing, student access, assessment, and collaboration.

Sell courses and manage access

Connect WooCommerce to set a course price and sell it. Sensei Pro also integrates with WooCommerce Subscriptions, Payments, Memberships, and Affiliates extensions.

Scheduled content drip releases lesson content at fixed intervals after a student starts a course or on a particular date. Course access periods let you set a start date, an end date, or a defined amount of time that a course remains accessible.

Groups and cohorts help organize students and manage access for different audiences. Conditional content can display or conceal lessons and other content based on groups, enrollment status, and date.

Add interactive lesson material

Use interactive blocks in lessons, pages, or posts. Available block types include videos, flashcards, picture hotspots, and task lists. Flashcards can contain text, videos, images, embeds, and other content on both sides.

Extend quizzes and share course work

Sensei LMS works with multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, true-or-false, free-response, and file-upload questions. Sensei Pro adds quiz timers and ordering questions. Individual quiz questions can also be placed in WordPress content outside standard quizzes, including lessons, pages, and posts.

Co-teachers can share course ownership and edit course settings, lessons, and quizzes.

Build courses in WordPress

Create courses with the WordPress Block Editor and customize their appearance to match the site’s theme and branding. The free Course Theme supports course presentation, Learning Mode offers an immersive, distraction-free learning experience, and the Course List block displays courses on pages or posts.

Set up Sensei Pro

Install Sensei LMS and activate Sensei Pro on the WordPress site. Then make courses, lessons, and quizzes with the Block Editor, and configure sales, schedules, access periods, groups, interactive blocks, and quiz settings for the course. A Sensei Pro license covers one site on WordPress Multisite; the Sensei Agency plan permits activation on up to 20 sites. Sensei Pro includes dedicated priority support from its engineering team.
