Why product images look uneven

Supplier photos and vendor uploads can arrive in different sizes. Smart Image Resize for WooCommerce Pro fits each product picture inside your store’s target dimensions, centers it, and fills the remaining space with a background color. White is the default. The complete product stays visible because the image is not cropped.

How resizing works

After installation and activation, new product images are resized automatically on upload. For images already in your catalog, open WooCommerce > Smart Image Resize > Bulk Resize and click Start. The existing documents do not need to be uploaded again. Whitespace trimming removes empty space around products.

Small source images can look blurry if they are enlarged. To keep them from being stretched, enable Disable Upscaling under Settings > Advanced. Other available settings are under WooCommerce > Smart Image Resize > Settings.

Where image processing applies

The add-on processes WooCommerce product images and leaves other images alone unless category image processing is enabled in settings. It works with themes including Flatsome, Avada, Astra, and OceanWP, and alongside Dokan, WCFM, WC Vendors, image optimization add-ons, and page builders.

Start processing

1. Install Smart Image Resize for WooCommerce Pro.
2. Activate the extension.
3. Upload a product image, or open the bulk resize tool to process images already in the catalog.

New uploads begin processing after activation without initial configuration. You can adjust the available options in Settings later.
