Set up taxonomies for your content

TaxoPress Pro manages Tags, Categories, and other WordPress taxonomy terms across posts, pages, WooCommerce products, and bbPress topics. Create taxonomies, adjust their settings and visual labels, choose whether terms have parent-child relationships, and assign taxonomies to post types. For example, you can add Categories to Pages or WooCommerce Tags to Posts.

For term maintenance, add, rename, remove, delete, or merge terms.

Apply terms and link their mentions

Auto Terms scans post titles and content for specified terms, then assigns matching terms from a taxonomy. Auto Links finds instances of a term in content and links them to that term's archive page.

You can also review terms already attached to a post, ask TaxoPress Pro to suggest existing terms by scanning posts, or browse all terms in a taxonomy.

Use AI to find taxonomy terms

AI integrations, including OpenAI, IBM Watson, and other services, can scan content and suggest existing or new taxonomy terms. Connect an external service before requesting suggestions, then choose terms that fit your taxonomy structure.

Keep alternate and related terms together

Term Synonyms associates multiple words with one main term. When a scan finds a synonym, TaxoPress Pro treats it as a match for the main term.

Linked Terms connects terms so that adding a main term to a post also includes its linked terms. These features help apply a consistent set of terms when content uses alternate wording or related concepts.

Display terms and related posts

• Terms Display: Show terms from a taxonomy in a customizable list or cloud.
• Terms for Current Post: Customize how terms assigned to the current post appear.
• Related Posts: List posts with similar tags or categories.
• Tag Clouds: Present taxonomy terms in a visual show.

Displays can be added with a shortcode or widget, or TaxoPress Pro can try to insert them into content automatically. Configure the taxonomies and terms first, then choose how and where their displays should appear. The Pro version includes extra capabilities and expert support.
