Tooltips for WordPress Pro
Tooltips for WordPress Pro and Tooltips for WordPress Pro Plus are paid editions that show responsive pop-up information on a WordPress site. Visitors can hover over a word, picture, button, menu item, form field or another supported element to view details without leaving the page. This can add explanations to articles, product details to shop pages, guidance to forms or information to pictures and navigation.

Tooltip content and matching
Create tooltip terms in the administration area and write their content with the standard WordPress editor. A tooltip can contain text, images, audio, video, buttons, social icons, PDFs or other HTML.
Automatic detection can match configured terms in posts, pages, tags, menus, products, comments, WooCommerce descriptions, ACF fields and other supported areas. Shortcodes give you control over specific placements: use a keyword-and-content format, wrap selected text with tooltip content, or reference a tooltip by ID in a page-builder layout. Examples include [tooltips keyword="term" content="Details"], [tooltips content="Details"]selected text[/tooltips] and [tooltip_by_id tooltip_id="222"].
Media, integrations and options
The paid editions cover tooltips, glossaries, directories, listings and WooCommerce-related content. Their listed add-ons include support for ACF, Elementor, Gutenberg, Brizy, WooCommerce, Polylang, YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Unsplash, PDFs, Wikipedia, forms, tables, pricing tables, BuddyPress and bbPress. The feature list includes more than 20 advanced add-ons and more than 400 configuration settings for tooltip styling and behavior.
Tooltips can use photos, video, audio, maps, QR codes, GIFs and other supported media. Integrations include Elementor, WPForms, TablePress, Contact Form 7, WooCommerce, ACF and pricing tables. With supported gallery extensions such as NextGEN, tooltips can display gallery image descriptions.
Glossaries and directories
The glossary and directory tools can turn tooltip terms into a dictionary-style listing with optional images, alphabetical navigation, SEO-friendly index pages and multilingual support. Add [glossary] to a page to display the glossary. Other shortcodes can create WooCommerce product directories, job listing tables, member directories and post lists: [productdirectory], [joblistingtable], [member_directory] and [postdirectory].
Installation and setup
Install the paid edition through the WordPress administration area and activate it. In the extension settings, create tooltip terms and add their content in the editor or with supported shortcodes. Choose the information and presentation for each tooltip, then check its placement on posts, products, menus, forms or other selected areas before publishing.
