Build snippets in the WordPress dashboard

WP Coder Pro provides a tabbed editor for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with CodeMirror syntax highlighting. Create and manage snippets without editing theme files. Developers can use it to test hooks or debug, while marketers can add tracking scripts and designers or bloggers can adjust layouts and website interactions.

Place a snippet with the shortcode [wp_code id="X"] or the Gutenberg block, which supports custom attributes and live preview. HTML and CSS previews are available in the backend and Gutenberg without a reload.

Set placement and preview changes

PHP snippets can execute in the admin area, on the front end, everywhere, or only where inserted. External libraries, including Google Fonts and CDN scripts and styles, can be included. Test Mode lets you preview snippets before making them live.

For front-end code, the available controls include CSS and JavaScript minification, JavaScript obfuscation with Dean Edwards’ Packer, and settings to load scripts with async or defer. Import and export utilities move snippets and settings between websites.

Manage integrations and editing tools

Available integrations include Google Tag Manager with user-role controls, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Pinterest Pixel, and Google AdSense. AdSense can be disabled for selected user roles.

The Markdown Editor uses CodeMirror and replaces Gutenberg and TinyMCE while it is in use. You can hide editor tabs you do not need, and add NAV comments as inline navigation markers when editing code.

Use the included administration tools

  • Enable, disable, or clear the WordPress debug log.
  • Show request details in the Admin Bar, including the template, query type, object, and body classes. This information is available to administrators.
  • Switch between installed themes from the Admin Bar.
  • Use included snippets for editor, content, login, user access, media, embeds, and core functionality.
  • Apply options to disable Gutenberg, change login redirects, enable SVG uploads, set default avatar ALT text, control lazy loading, or disable embeds.

Create and insert a snippet

In the dashboard editor, create a snippet, select its code type, enter the content, and pick how and where it should run. Preview it in Test Mode when appropriate, then add it with the Gutenberg block or shortcode. As your project develops, use the editor tabs, execution settings, integrations, and import or export tools to manage the code.

Installation

Install WP Coder Pro through the standard WordPress extension workflow. In the dashboard, open its code editor to create a snippet and configure its execution or insertion settings, then place it using Gutenberg or the supplied shortcode.
