Contact Form 7 Mailchimp Pro: Map Fields and Control Sends

Contact Form 7 Mailchimp Pro sends submissions from Contact Form 7 and other supported WordPress forms to selected Mailchimp lists. Supported integrations include WPForms, Elementor Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable Forms and Contact Form Entries.

Connect forms, lists and fields

Add a Mailchimp account with its API key; multiple accounts can be connected. Create a feed for a form, select a Mailchimp list, then map submitted values to the list’s fields. The extension shows available merge fields while you configure the mapping.

When a submission is sent, the plugin can make a member if no match exists or update an existing member. Members can be added as subscribed or pending, and one or more form fields can be sent as Mailchimp member notes.

Set conditions for sending

Submission filters use user input to decide whether an entry goes to Mailchimp. For example, a newsletter checkbox can control whether that submission is sent. Supported forms can also send entries automatically when users submit them.

For a saved Contact Form Entries submission, use the “Send to Mailchimp” action to send it manually or send it again.

Review submission status

Mailchimp Logs show whether each submission was sent. Open the log to review an entry’s status and resend it when needed.

The Pro edition includes Mailchimp tags, GDPR fields, phone number and custom Mailchimp fields, and interest groups. Supported submissions can also include Google Analytics parameters and visitor geolocation. The plugin includes options to look up a lead’s email and phone through email and phone lookup APIs.

Set up a feed

  1. Open “Mailchimp Accounts” and add an account with its Mailchimp API key. Connect more accounts if needed.
  2. Open “Mailchimp Feeds,” select the desired list, and map its fields to fields from the chosen form.
  3. Submit a test entry. Use “Send to Mailchimp” when you need to send a saved Contact Form Entries submission manually.
  4. Open “Mailchimp Logs” to check the submission status and resend it if necessary.
