A code block combines code and scope

CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS provides a WordPress interface for creating and managing CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and HTML code blocks. Each block pairs an editor with a location editor, so you can write code and pick which WordPress requests should execute it. This lets you make front-end changes without editing theme files. For example, use CSS to adjust a selected page, PHP to add functionality, or JavaScript to add page interactions or scripts such as analytics and chat widgets.

Choose locations in the assignment panel

Assignments can target pages, posts, custom posts, tags, and categories. Auxiliary locations include the entire site, website backend, all pages, all posts, recent posts, blog index, all categories, search pages, archives, tag archives, author archives, attachment pages, and 404 error pages. You can choose multiple locations for a block and assign multiple blocks to the same locations.

PLUS includes premium placements for the entire website, all posts, and other broad areas. It also supports adding code through shortcodes, widgets, and Gutenberg blocks, and assigning it by tags, URLs, or regular expressions.

Check the match when URL targeting misses

If a block assigned through a URL does not run, compare the saved address with the browser address bar, including any trailing slash. URL assignments can be quicker to evaluate, but they do not cover every case. For example, selecting a category index and its subcategories may require the category controls instead.

Manage a larger code library

PLUS includes code and script library management, eight additional hooks for more precise assignments, and an invert capability that runs a block everywhere except the locations you exclude. Editor tools include code autocomplete and options to beautify or minify code. Code revisions help manage earlier versions, while backup and export/import options help preserve or move the library. The extension is described as optimized to handle hundreds of code blocks and thousands of locations, including pages, posts, categories, and custom posts.

To begin, create a code block and select its code type. Enter the CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or HTML, choose its locations in the assignment panel, review the selection, and save the block. Manage additional blocks from the shared code and script library.
