Choose what each copy includes

Duplicate Post RB Pro gives editors and administrators control over copying WordPress posts, pages, and public custom post types. Select the elements to copy, then save those choices in profiles for recurring editorial or development tasks.

A profile can include the title, content, status, date, excerpt, slug, template, featured image, author, taxonomies, categories, tags, menu order, password, format, attachments, child pages, navigation menu, and post metadata. The All Post Meta setting copies all post meta fields at once. You can include public custom post types registered by themes or plugins and exclude specific types from duplication.

Reuse profiles and naming rules

Profiles can set naming formats, counters, date and time formats, template behavior, and taxonomy behavior. Add a prefix or suffix and use placeholders such as [Counter], [CurrentDate], and [CurrentTime]. A preview shows the resulting name before you copy. Profiles can be exported and imported for use across projects and environments.

Profile buttons can trigger a copy from the post or page list with their saved settings. You can set each button's label, color, and show style, and choose whether to skip confirmation dialogs. Global settings let you control which visitor roles may duplicate content and where copy actions appear in the WordPress admin.

Keep structured content and review copy history

Advanced Custom Fields integration copies field values, field groups assigned to posts and post types, ACF-based custom post types, and custom taxonomies created with ACF. The editor history widget in Gutenberg and the Classic Editor shows the source post or page, the duplication date and time, and the profile used. Gutenberg also has a Copy button for duplicating from the block editor.

Use editor actions, WP-CLI, and multisite workflows

WP-CLI works with command-line and bulk duplication, including profile-based copies. For example, wp rb-duplicate-post duplicate 123,456 --profile=1 duplicates items using a saved profile, and wp rb-duplicate-post profiles lists available profiles.

With Pro multisite support, you can copy posts, pages, or products to another site in the network from the copy dialog, with WP-CLI using --target-blog, or through Auto copy rules. Categories and tags are created on the destination site. Images can be copied to that site's media library, including images in the content, or configured to reference the source site's media library. Source access is checked on the originating site, and the copy follows the user's permissions on the destination site.

Adapt copies with the Assistant

Assistant steps can replace text in a title, content, or excerpt, change link addresses, and set the copy's status. The Assistant can ask for values such as a city name before copying and lets you preview the result on a post. Pro adds steps for regular-expression patterns, custom fields, and taxonomy terms. It also supports AI rewriting and translation, plus drafting excerpts and SEO titles or descriptions with your own API key.
