Build a documentation library in WordPress

EazyDocs Pro is the paid edition of EazyDocs for creating knowledge bases, help centers, wikis, documentation sites, and FAQs. Create knowledge bases, then arrange documents into categories with drag and drop. The hierarchy works with up to five levels of document depth, with no listed quantity limits for knowledge bases, documents, or categories. The visual workflow does not require coding.

Keep documents organized and controlled

As documentation changes, editors can reorder documents and categories, duplicate documents, and manage visibility in groups. Revision history lets them track changes and restore earlier versions. Markdown and CSV import and export provide ways to move content between supported file formats.

For selected documentation, access can require a login or password. User role management controls who can edit, while visitor restrictions and IP limitations provide additional access controls.

Help readers find and use information

AJAX live search returns results as users type, with smart suggestions and results from across documentation levels. Suggested keywords can point readers toward useful topics. Add search bars using pre-built Gutenberg blocks or Elementor widgets.

Pro includes a custom Doc Root URL, OnePage and extended document layouts, Docs Archive Masonry layouts, editable single-document sidebars, and Book Chapter Elementor widgets. Dark Mode, Full RTL Compatibility, and Doc Badges add further presentation and organization settings. Documents can be attached to any page, and conditional content dropdowns can show relevant information. Ajax Doc Loading is provided for faster document loading. A Glossary documentation capability and Doc Helper Assistant with Contact Form can help readers with explanations or requests for help.

Collect feedback and connect documentation tools

Feedback features include voting, comments notifications, a Users Feedback Database, and a Documentation Subscription Button. Docs Assistant display options include Dark Mode and Full Article View. Collaborative Docs Status Icons and DocBox Status Badges can communicate document status and organization.

EazyDocs can integrate with Antimanual for AI-powered assistance, documentation generation, and AI search. The integration can index the EazyDocs knowledge base, let site owners tailor chatbot appearance and response style, and add the chatbot to documentation with a shortcode.

Install and set up

Install EazyDocs from the WordPress extension directory and activate it. Open EazyDocs > Getting Started, create a knowledge base, and arrange documents with drag and drop. Then configure the desired layout, search, access, and user role settings, and add documentation pages or blocks to the relevant WordPress site areas.
