When paid plans fit the store
Ecwid Premium plans are intended for stores that need more ecommerce capabilities or preferred support. Options vary by product count, functionality, and support level. Plans are listed as starting at $5 per month.
Managing sales across storefronts
Use the store control panel to manage products, clients, orders, and inventory. Payment methods include PayPal, Stripe, and more than 70 others. Ecwid mobile apps for iOS and Android let you scan products, track inventory, manage sales, and accept payments; a mobile device can also serve as a point-of-sale station.
Ecwid supports selling on Facebook and Instagram. Products, customers, orders, and inventory synchronize between the WordPress and Facebook storefronts, and store data also synchronizes with other online storefronts.
Shipping and tax coverage
Carrier integrations can calculate shipping rates automatically with USPS, UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, Australia Post, and others. Tax rates can be set up in a few clicks, with automatic calculations for the United States, Canada, and EU VAT. TaxJar integration provides automatic sales tax reporting and filing in the United States.
Hosted storage and store extensions
Ecwid stores include hosted storage, regular backups, upgrades, and security updates. Ecwid manages software updates, security patches, and server maintenance. The service is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, which helps stores meet the security requirements of their bank.
The platform has hundreds of extensions and an API. Examples include TaxJar for tax automation, ShipStation for fulfillment, and LiveChat for customer support. Responsive storefronts adapt to smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, and smart watches.
Connect and place the storefront
Install the Ecwid shopping cart extension in WordPress, then connect an existing Ecwid account or create one. Add products, configure payment methods, and set up shipping and taxes in the store control panel. Add the storefront to your WordPress site, then use widgets or Gutenberg-compatible placement settings to pick where store content appears.
To show store categories in site navigation, go to Appearance > Menus and add the “Store with Categories Menu” item. Paid Ecwid users can use the store sitemap option for category and product pages.
