Events Search & Filter Bar Pro extends search and filtering on sites using The Events Calendar, which continues to manage the event catalogue. Use it with either the free or Pro calendar installation.

Search event details and narrow matches

Pro keyword searches can match event descriptions, venue names and organizer names, as well as titles. Visitors can filter by category, tag, venue or organizer. The location filter checks the city, state or region, and country recorded for event venues.

Set the filter and results layout

Additional filters can sit behind a Filters button or stay visible below the main bar. Choose pill, dropdown or filled styles for the filter triggers. Search submissions can show results on the same page or send users to a dedicated events search results page.

Present events in the calendar

The Modern card design includes a date badge to the event picture. On The Events Calendar’s List view, the bar can replace the calendar controls while its event results continue to show. With full takeover enabled, both the bar and its event results replace the List view.

Keep your shortcode setup

Add the bar and results with the add-on’s shortcodes, then select the filters, placement, results destination and card design. Pro keeps the same shortcodes, settings and CSS class names. Existing version 1.x shortcodes remain accepted, with older layout, show-events, disable-past-events and content-type attributes mapped onto the newer engine.

The date filter includes presets for Today, Tomorrow, This weekend, This week, Next week, This month and Next month, plus custom date ranges. Search, date range, sort and page selections use shareable URLs, so visitors can link to a filtered view and return to it.
