Build flexible news tickers in Elementor

News Ticker for Elementor Pro adds a news ticker element to the Elementor widget panel. It is designed for displaying blog posts, custom messages, notifications, links, and other updates in a ticker format anywhere on a webpage.

The Pro edition expands content selection, animation, navigation, and styling controls. You can create tickers from WordPress default post types or custom post types, choose which posts appear, control their order, and refine the presentation to suit the surrounding page.

Content and post controls

• Add posts from any kind of post type, including WordPress default post types and custom post types.
• Choose posts from custom post types.
• Set a post limit to control how many posts appear.
• Order posts in ascending or descending order.
• Order content by date, ID, title, name, modified time, post parent ID, menu order, comment count, or randomly.
• Filter posts from a category or taxonomy.
• Exclude selected posts from a specified post type.
• Add unlimited custom text entries and link those items to selected destinations.

These controls can support various editorial processes. A site can use recent posts for an announcements strip, selected custom post types for a focused content feed, or custom text for notices and linked updates.

Animation and show options

The Pro edition provides two effects: scrolling and typing. For scrolling tickers, you can set the scroll speed. An RTL option is also available for right-to-left presentation.

Playback can be adjusted for the way visitors interact with the ticker. Enable pausing when the pointer moves over the ticker, disable autoplay, or pick whether to display the next, previous, and play/pause buttons. Link behavior can also be configured so blog post or custom ticker links open in a new tab when needed.

Headings, icons, and styling

The heading area is customizable, with options to show or conceal the heading title and adjust its appearance. Add a list separator, use a FontAwesome icon, or select a custom image for the heading title.

Styling controls cover the heading font size, background, color, and font family. You can also personalize the ticker background, border, and font, along with the background, border, and font of the control buttons. The news section has its own design customization options, helping the ticker fit different page layouts.

Installation and use

1. Install and enable News Ticker for Elementor Pro.
2. Open the Elementor widget panel and add the news ticker element to a page.
3. Choose blog posts, custom post types, or custom text as the ticker content.
4. Configure the effect, content order, filters, links, navigation, heading, and design settings.
5. Publish the page when the ticker is ready.
