Track products, orders and customer activity
Tracking covers product events and impressions, checkout and cart activity, purchases, and coupon performance. Refund tracking is listed as a Pro capability. The add-on can also send conversion data to Google Ads and event and conversion data to Facebook Pixel. Google Consent Mode and the Measurement Protocol API are supported.
Review reports across the store journey
Pro reports cover acquisition channels, traffic sources and referrals; user behavior; devices, browsers and screen resolutions; and demographics such as location, gender, age and language. Engagement and retention reports display user and content interactions over time. Other reports cover Google Ads, AdSense, search queries, organic traffic and enhanced ecommerce. The plugin also delivers Google Analytics reports in the WordPress dashboard, including quick stats, custom charts and comparisons with historical data.
User ID tracking can provide additional information about user activity when enabled in Tracking Settings. The plugin uses the Google Analytics Management API to retrieve account and property details during setup, and an OAuth proxy service to authenticate with Google services.
Configure tracking and privacy controls
Administrators can disable admin tracking, anonymize IP addresses, control User ID tracking, and disable demographics and interest reporting. These controls help configure data collection for privacy needs, but the plugin does not guarantee complete GDPR compliance.
Install and activate the plugin, open the Advanced WC Analytics admin menu, connect your Google Analytics account, select the store property, then configure events and privacy settings. If another plugin records general page views, disable page-view tracking here to avoid duplicate data. The plugin also includes configuration documentation, regular maintenance, priority support and customization on request, with additional cost and timing depending on the request.
