Create filters in the management area, then assign one or more to each picture or video. Visitors can narrow the collection with those filters instead of scrolling through one long gallery.
Help visitors find specific work
URL-based filtering opens a gallery on a chosen category, and a default filter can be active when the gallery loads. Multi-choose filtering lets visitors combine categories using AND or OR logic. Parent-child filter structures group related categories, and dropdown menus provide an alternative to standard filter buttons. Live search looks for items within the displayed collection.
Set the gallery's layout and appearance
Choose from six filter button styles: Buttons, Pills, Minimal, Outline, Underline, and Flat. Available hover effects include Zoom, Fade, Slide Up, and Blur. Filters can appear in a sidebar panel, and column options can be adjusted separately for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Set custom thumbnail dimensions, select colors for filter buttons, and place card titles below images. Galleries can use masonry or standard grid layouts with two, three, or four columns and adjustable spacing. Other show settings include titles, image numbering badges, grayscale hover effects, and borders.
Manage and present gallery content
Sort items in ascending or descending order, or use the shuffle button to randomize their display. Add an image watermark overlay, then choose pagination or a load more option for larger galleries. The lightbox delivers navigation, captions, and deep linking.
The plugin supports images and embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos. Gallery management includes drag-and-drop image reordering and bulk image selection. You can edit titles, descriptions, links, and filters for individual items.
Place a gallery in your WordPress site
Select a gallery with the Gutenberg block or Elementor widget, both of which provide a live preview in the editor. Shortcodes are also available for WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder, widgets, custom HTML blocks, and themes.
To set up a gallery, install Portfolio Filter Gallery Premium in WordPress and open Portfolio Gallery in the administration menu. Create filters, add or select media, assign categories, and choose layout and display settings. Then insert the gallery using Gutenberg, Elementor, a supported shortcode, or another available placement method.
