PublishPress Checklists Pro
PublishPress Checklists Pro places a checklist beside WordPress posts and pages so authors can see which publishing tasks remain. Set each task to Disabled, Recommended or Required, and pick who may ignore it. An incomplete required task can prevent publication. Authors see unfinished items with a red X and completed items with a green checkmark.

Set content and link requirements
Configure minimum or maximum character counts for titles and excerpts, and word counts for post content. You can prohibit selected heading tags from H1 through H6 and specify words that must not appear. Other rules can set minimum or maximum counts for categories, tags or other taxonomy terms, require or prohibit specific terms, and limit permalink characters.
Link tasks can set minimum or maximum counts for internal and external links. The link validation check looks at whether links use a valid format; it does not verify that a destination URL works.
Control publishing and approval
Scheduling tasks can require a specific publish time or a publish date in the future. Approval tasks can require sign-off from a specific visitor or a user with a selected role. Teams can make these conditions required when publication must wait for the relevant approval.
Check images and content structure
Image tasks can require ALT text for all images, with minimum and maximum character limits. You can also set limits for the number of images in a post and the length of picture captions. Featured image checks can require an image, ALT text, a caption or specified minimum and maximum dimensions.
Additional checks cover the number of audio and video items in content. Accessibility-related requirements can call for a single H1, headings in logical order, and a header row in tables.
Use requirements with connected plugins
For WooCommerce products, checklist tasks can cover excerpt length, product tags and categories, content word count, a featured image, and product image. Other product checks include the Virtual and Downloadable settings, regular and sale prices, sale scheduling and discount, SKU, stock management, individual sales, backorders, upsells and cross-sells.
PublishPress Checklists Pro also integrates with Yoast SEO, Rank Math SEO, All in One SEO and Advanced Custom Fields. The SEO integrations can check the available SEO and readability standards: Yoast SEO and Readability, Rank Math SEO Score, and All in One SEO Score and Headline Score. Advanced Custom Fields requirements can check field values, such as a text field's character count or whether an image field is filled.
Customize review tasks
OpenAI requirements use prompts to assess content for criteria such as clear writing, professional tone, spelling or grammar. If OpenAI judges that content does not meet a requirement, the checklist marks it incomplete. You can also add custom tasks, including tasks that rely on a custom add-on for a website-specific check.
Configure the tasks and their status to match your publishing process. Authors then see the applicable requirements beside their content and can address each item before publication.
