Which review mode fits the task?
Check as you type
This mode detects writing issues as authors compose or edit. Suggestions appear on hover, so writers can consider corrections in context.
Proofread in a dialog
This mode gathers detected issues and available suggestions in one place. Writers can review a complete piece of content and work through its spelling, grammar, punctuation, and style findings.
How can teams manage terminology?
Each visitor can keep a custom dictionary for complex words, acronyms, and proper names. Added words are treated as correctly spelled and can appear in the suggestions list. Personal dictionary words are stored in browser local storage or in the cloud, depending on the setup, and can be accessible from the browser.
Subscription owners can make organization dictionaries to add terms related to the organization’s culture, industry, or domain. Administrators can make these words available to visitors across the organization and connected websites. A style guide builder is also available for creating language rules.
Language-specific dictionaries
The extension’s broader language functionality covers more than 20 languages, and Pro spelling and grammar checks are available in dozens of languages. Specialized medical spelling dictionaries are available for English, German, French, and Spanish. An English legal spelling dictionary is also available.
