Customize WooCommerce transactional emails

Email Customizer for WooCommerce Premium lets you build branded email templates in a drag-and-drop editor. Choose from 11 default WooCommerce email templates, arrange rows and columns, and add content and order details. The editor supports unlimited rows; Premium offers multi-column layouts with an adjustable number of columns.

Build and review a template

Add text, images, dividers, gaps, social icons, buttons, GIFs, and WooCommerce components. WooCommerce elements can show the email header, customer details, order information and table, billing and shipping details, and downloadable product data. Available options vary by element. Text controls include font details, borders, and margins; Premium also provides background image, border, and padding settings for each element.

Changes appear in real time, and the live preview lets you inspect the layout while editing. To check a test email, open a template, select an order and email status, enter the recipient address, then send the test. Social elements support up to 11 accounts and five icon styles.

Include changing order and customer information

Dynamic placeholders can insert details such as the customer name, site name, username, account and password URLs, customer notes, full name, order ID, and order creation date. Premium adds placeholders for order, billing, and shipping information, so reusable templates can display details for each order.

Connect hooks and email statuses

Add WooCommerce hooks for sections such as the email header, order details, order table, order meta, and customer details. Custom hooks can display shortcodes from third-party extensions and other dynamic content. Compatibility is listed for YITH WooCommerce Gift Cards and WooCommerce Order Status Manager.

Email Mapping assigns emails to order statuses and provides 12 email conditions. With WPML compatibility, you can design templates in multiple languages.

Manage and reuse templates

Export templates for use on another store. The export can include the mapping to an email status and the subject of the related template, which can then be imported. To restore a template, use the reset option in Email Customizer and Templates to return it to its original state.

Set up the email builder

Install the extension in WordPress and open the Email Customizer templates area. Choose a WooCommerce email template, arrange its rows and columns, add elements, and configure their available settings. Review the result in the live preview, then use a test email to check its appearance.
