WP Sticky PRO
When a visitor scrolls until an element reaches the top of the page, WP Sticky PRO can keep it in view. Use it for a menu, header, widget, sidebar, logo, call-to-action box, or banner ad. Multiple elements can be sticky, with options configured individually for each one.

Identify the page element
Choose the target with the visual element picker or enter a unique selector based on its name, class, or ID. Depending on the page structure, a selector such as nav, #main-menu, or .menu-main-menu-1 may be enough. Use a more specific selector when needed. It should match one element on the page.
Set placement and display rules
- Top spacing: Set the gap between the sticky element and the top of the page.
- Screen sizes: Set minimum and maximum screen sizes for sticky behavior.
- Page exclusions: Choose posts, pages, categories, tags, and custom post types where the element should not stick.
- Push-up element: Select another element lower on the page that can push the sticky element upward, such as a sidebar widget.
- Admin Bar: Account for the WordPress Admin Toolbar so the sticky element does not obscure it or sit behind it.
- Z-index: Adjust stacking order if another page element overlaps or appears through the sticky element.
Choose a mode and troubleshoot
Legacy Mode uses the older method of making components sticky. Dynamic Mode is available with Legacy Mode to address issues that can occur with responsive themes. Debug Mode can show browser console messages that help identify possible reasons an element does not stick.
Set up a sticky element
- Install and activate WP Sticky PRO in WordPress.
- Choose the element with the visual picker or a unique selector.
- Set top spacing, screen-size limits, and page exclusions as needed.
- Configure push-up behavior, Admin Bar handling, and Z-index options.
- Use Debug Mode if the selected element does not behave as expected.
These controls let you keep navigation, calls to action, sidebar content, or other selected elements in view while visitors scroll, with behavior tailored to particular pages and screen sizes.
