Five Star Restaurant Reservations Premium adds capacity controls, custom fields, and configurable email notifications to a restaurant booking form on a WordPress site. Guests can submit reservations from phones, tablets, or desktop devices, while staff review and manage bookings in the WordPress administration area.

Place the form and set its schedule

Add the booking form to a page with the Gutenberg restaurant booking block or the [booking-form] shortcode. You can also choose a reservation page in the plugin options. Patterns are included for block-based themes. Set available dates and times, add exceptions for holidays or special events, and define minimum and maximum party sizes.

Apply capacity limits to each dining block

Set a dining block length, then limit either the number of reservations or the number of seats or people allowed in that block. These limits count various things: a reservation cap counts bookings, while a seat cap counts diners. You can set thresholds below which bookings are automatically confirmed. Availability checks use the guest’s selected party size alongside configured restrictions, so the form shows dates and times that meet those rules.

When multiple locations are configured, reservation and seat limits can be set separately for each one. A shortcode attribute can assign a form to a specific location, conceal the location selector, and assign submitted bookings to that location.

Collect additional guest details

Create custom fields using text inputs, dropdowns, checkboxes, or radio buttons. Ask for details such as promo codes, allergy information, dietary concerns, or other reservation needs. Field choices retain their identities when reordered, disabled, or recreated, which helps preserve the meaning of information stored with existing reservations. You can also require a phone number, select date and time formats, and set the message guests see after booking.

Review bookings and configure email notices

Add or edit bookings in the administration panel, then review new requests and confirm or reject them. Customers can receive email notices about booking decisions, and administrators can be notified when requests arrive. The Premium notifications table works with an unlimited number of unique notifications. For each one, choose a trigger, recipient, subject, and message; template tags can insert reservation details.

Set up the booking flow

After activation, a walkthrough helps you place the form and configure key options. Set the schedule, party-size rules, locations, capacity limits, custom fields, and notification messages, then add the block or shortcode to the page where guests should book.
