Really Simple Featured Video PRO
Really Simple Featured Video PRO adds video support for WordPress posts, pages, custom post types, and WooCommerce products. Videos can appear in a theme's featured picture position, on WooCommerce product pages and shop archives, and in product galleries alongside images.
Use featured videos in posts and product galleries
Really Simple Featured Video PRO adds video support for WordPress posts, pages, custom post types, and WooCommerce products. Use an embed from YouTube, Dailymotion, or Vimeo, or host a video on your site. Videos can appear in a theme's featured picture position, on WooCommerce product pages and shop archives, and in product galleries alongside images.
Enable featured videos for the relevant post types in the plugin options. Manage them from each editing screen or use Video Tools to work across supported content in one place. Its bulk upload tab accepts video documents and supported embed links, with CSV or TXT import. Each imported row needs a post; rows without one are discarded, and their files are not uploaded.
Create videos with Video Studio
Video Studio creates short featured videos from templates in your browser and saves the finished video and a poster image to your Media Library. Templates can use details from a post or WooCommerce product, such as its title, price, photos, or category. PRO adds more than 20 templates for shops, blogs, food, real estate, courses, events, local businesses, and portfolios. It also adds music, a brand kit, every Google Font, larger uploads beyond your host's limit, and video creation for many entries at once.
With PRO, Video Studio works with vertical and 4K sizes. Creating a video requires Chrome, Edge, or Firefox over a secure HTTPS connection. Safari can preview templates but cannot create the video.
Video Studio output size is separate from the featured video's display ratio. PRO can set a sitewide aspect ratio, including 16:9, 4:3, 3:2, 1:1, 9:16, or a custom ratio.
Place videos in blocks, shortcodes, and builders
Add the Featured Video block yourself in the block editor or Site Editor. It can show the video for the current post, page, or product, or a video from another entry you select. Use it in a template, Query Loop, or post content. Block settings include player controls, autoplay, loop, mute, picture in picture, download, and hover autoplay, along with a featured image fallback and display styling. Videos from draft, private, or password-protected posts are shown only to people who can view that post.
The [rsfv] shortcode displays the current entry's featured video, while [rsfv_by_postid] displays a video from another post ID. The extension also includes an Elementor Featured Video widget, support for Elementor Pro Posts, Archive, and WooCommerce Product widgets, Bricks Posts and Archive elements, and the Salient theme's WPBakery Post Loop Builder. It supports Astra Pro WooCommerce galleries in vertical and horizontal layouts.
Configure playback and product order
Settings control options such as autoplay and mute across the site. Hover autoplay is optional; PRO adds more ways to customize how it behaves. The Sticky Video capability can open a popup player with multiple videos and customizable controls. PRO adds a story layout with tabs for switching between videos. For WooCommerce, PRO lets you set the video order on single product pages.
Review video activity and theme compatibility
Video Analytics counts views and plays in your site's database. It does not set a cookie or shop IP addresses or user IDs. PRO extends the recording history and adds watch time, completion data, and CSV export.
The plugin includes compatibility for newer WordPress core themes, including Twenty Twenty-Four, and classic themes. PRO loads compatibility for more supported premium and custom themes, and includes priority support for plugin-related problems. You can also request compatibility for additional themes.
