Call Now Button PRO extends a WordPress click-to-call button with additional contact actions and display controls. On a phone, tapping the call button starts a call. On desktop, the link opens in the visitor’s calling app.

Button capacity and account settings

Without an account, Call Now Button delivers one call button. A connected free account works with up to five buttons, with one visible per page. It includes more actions, advanced display rules and a live preview while editing. The paid PRO plan includes a 14-day free trial, supports up to 200 buttons and enables multiple buttons on the same page.

Actions available through the account plans include SMS or text, email, maps, links and scrolling to a point on the page. Messaging actions include WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, Signal, Zalo, Viber, Line and WeChat.

Layouts, chat and embedded content

PRO adds a Buttonbar with up to five actions, plus Multibutton, Button Dots and Button Flower layouts. It includes a WhatsApp chat window, a Messenger chat widget, live chat in beta and Intercom chat integration. Slide-in content windows, iframe embedding and form embedding are also supported.

Display rules and appearance

A weekly scheduler controls when each button appears. Geo targeting can include or exclude countries, and a button can be set to appear after a visitor scrolls. You can also limit buttons to selected posts or pages, exclude specific posts or pages, and select mobile, desktop or both.

Existing presentation controls include labels, button and icon colors, eight preset screen positions, full-width placement at the top or bottom of the screen, button sizing and layering. PRO adds an icon picker, custom button pictures and animations.

Tracking and service connection

Call Now Button supports Google Analytics click tracking and Google Ads conversion tracking. A guide is available for using Google Tag Manager. These are tags you configure; the extension does not install the tracking scripts.

The button is rendered by your site, and the extension does not contact the cloud service until you choose to connect an account. When you connect, your email address and site domain are sent to create the account. Button configuration is then stored and served through the cloud service, and requests identify your site URL and WordPress and PHP versions. Anonymous error and usage reporting is off by default, can be enabled in Settings, and does not execute on visitors’ pages.

Installation

1. Install and activate the Call Now Button plugin in WordPress.
2. Open its configuration in the dashboard and connect an account if you want to use account and PRO capabilities.
3. Configure buttons, actions, display rules and appearance, then save your settings.
