Manage WordPress media with Optimole Pro

Image delivery and media storage
After you install Optimole and connect the website to the service, it replaces image URLs with cloud-based URLs. The original documents stay on your server unless you enable Pro offloading. This lets you use optimized image delivery while keeping your media library on your hosting account.
For each user, Optimole detects the device, screen size, and browser, then delivers an appropriately sized and compressed image. Machine-learning compression adjusts to image content to balance file size and visual detail. When supported by the browser, images are served in WebP or AVIF. Lazy loading defers offscreen images, and the service delivers media through AWS CloudFront, with edge locations in more than 450 cities.
Pro options for larger media libraries
- Cloud offloading: Move the media library to cloud storage to free server space and reduce server load.
- One-click restoration: Transfer offloaded images back to your server when needed.
- Custom CNAME: Use branded image URLs while media is delivered through the service.
- Priority support: Pro visitors receive priority support.
The cloud media library also supports managing images, video, audio, and documents, and can make assets available across multiple websites. This can suit photographers, agencies, businesses with substantial photo collections, WooCommerce stores, and portfolios.
Set up an existing library
Install the WordPress extension and connect it to the cloud service. Optimole then replaces image URLs with optimized cloud versions. You can process an existing library in bulk with one click; processing continues in the background, so the browser does not need to stay open. Enable offloading if you want to move media out of server storage, and use one-click restoration to return offloaded images when needed. Configure a custom CNAME for branded image URLs.
