Choose where snippets load
Set a snippet to display across the website or target every post and page, a specific post or page, a category, a tag, a custom post type, or a chosen number of the latest posts. Use a shortcode when you want to place code manually.
Choose the head section, footer, top of content, or bottom of content as the injection location. Device options can show a snippet on all devices, desktop only, or mobile only.
Manage code from common services
The add-on accepts HTML, JavaScript, and CSS from a range of services. Examples include Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Tag Manager, Clicky Web Analytics, chat modules, Facebook pixels and scripts, Facebook image tags, Google conversion pixels, Twitter heatmaps from Crazy Egg, notification bars such as Hello Bar, and website verification code.
- Add tracking or analytics scripts to the head or footer.
- Limit a snippet to a selected post, page, category, tag, or custom post type.
- Use device settings for desktop-only or mobile-only code.
- Place a snippet with a shortcode when automatic placement does not fit.
- Keep snippets labeled in one management area and review their edit history.
Pro edition
The Pro version is described as including additional functions beyond the free version. The listed workflow centers on organizing snippets, setting display conditions, and choosing where code loads.
Install and add a snippet
Install and activate the extension in WordPress, then open the settings link beneath its name or select the HFCM tab in the left navigation. Add a snippet, label it, pick its display conditions and injection location, then save it for review.
Wrap JavaScript in script tags so it runs as code instead of appearing as text. On a multisite network, activate the plugin at the subsite level only.
