Send Users Email Pro extends WordPress email sending for planned campaigns and larger recipient lists. It includes the base extension’s tools and sends messages through WordPress’s wp_mail function, so it can work alongside other email plugins that hook into that function.

Choose recipients and prepare messages

Send to selected WordPress users, one or more visitor roles, or a single external email address. Pro includes custom groups managed independently of roles, with searchable member selection. You can also import external contact lists from CSV documents and email a list.

Compose subjects and messages in the WordPress rich text editor. Placeholders can insert a recipient’s username, first name, last name, display name, user ID, or email address in the message body. Pro makes the same placeholders available in subject lines. Preview messages with placeholders filled in before sending.

Control delivery timing

For larger batches, the queue sends a configurable number of emails every five minutes through WP-Cron. You can make the queue the default for sends or schedule queued emails for a specific future date and time. Gradual sending helps pace messages within your provider’s limits; the provider determines whether it accepts or blocks them.

Queue activity charts display throughput, and a dedicated queue log keeps records for 30 days with automatic cleanup of old queue records.

Set email appearance and sender details

Choose from pre-designed email themes or set your own custom HTML and CSS template as the default for new messages. The base plugin also delivers a branded header with a logo, title, and tagline, plus social links in the footer and custom CSS for the default responsive template. Pro lets you override the header title and tagline for an individual email.

Configure the sender name, sender email, and reply-to address in the plugin settings. Pro also lets you configure your own or a third-party SMTP server.

Manage preferences and review records

Pro lets users opt in or out of emails from their profile, with an option to override that preference for a specific send. Email logs retain sent messages for 90 days by default, and the retention period is configurable. Failures reported by wp_mail are logged for review.

To use the workflow, configure sender, reply-to, branding, styling, and SMTP settings as needed. Create groups or import contacts, pick recipients, compose and preview a message, then queue or schedule it when the campaign calls for gradual or later delivery. Review the available email and queue logs afterward.
