Turn title rules into consistent attachment metadata

SEO Media Manager Pro formats WordPress attachment metadata when media is uploaded. The included Free controls use the attachment title assigned by WordPress. Pro can also use the original filename or a fixed title as the source. A live preview shows the result under your current rules before you save them.

Replace hyphens, underscores, periods, tildes, and plus signs with spaces; pick letter case and capitalization; and keep selected whole words such as SEO, PDF, or UK uppercase. Pro adds replacement rules for more punctuation, numbers, and custom phrases, and can split titles at capital letters or number groups. You can copy the formatted title to alternative text, captions, and descriptions. Review the text before using it as alternative text, since a formatted title may not describe an picture; decorative images may need empty alternative text.

The plugin updates WordPress attachment metadata. It does not rename or modify stored media documents, and it does not automatically synchronize image attributes already saved in post content.

Run a background job on existing media

Pro applies saved formatting rules to the complete Media Library or a custom selection. Limit a job to images, SVG, PDF, files, audio, or video. The chosen media filter is saved with the job.

Action Scheduler handles attachments in groups of up to 20 and saves progress between requests. You can leave the settings screen and return to check progress. Cancellation takes effect after the current group finishes; it does not undo changes from completed groups. WordPress scheduled work must execute for jobs to proceed. If WP-Cron is disabled, a working server-side cron runner is needed.

Choose the job scope and source

  1. Open the Batch processing tab.
  2. Select the complete library or Custom selection.
  3. Choose a media type if needed.
  4. Select the title source and start the background job.

A batch replaces the output fields you select; there is no fill-missing-only mode. Turn off copying to fields you want to keep, or exclude those attachments. Back up the database and test a small selection before changing existing metadata.

Settings, compatibility, and Pro access

Existing Format Media Titles settings are imported, with a compatibility copy retained for rollback. The established developer filters seo_media_manager_defaults, seo_media_manager_title, and seo_media_manager_alt remain available. The plugin slug remains format-media-titles.

Pro includes paid updates and priority email support through Freemius. If the Pro licence is deactivated, the plugin stays active and shows the Free interface. Paid settings remain stored, while paid rules and batch processing are unavailable until a valid licence is activated again.
