Set schedules and event details
Add an event name, description, dates, times, duration, venue, and all-day or multi-day details. Set events to repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or on a custom schedule, such as the first Monday of each month or every other Thursday. Duplicate an event to reuse its details, and choose date and time formats to fit your website or locale.
Create reusable venue profiles with addresses, maps, contact details, and site links. Assign a venue to an event to show its location; displaying a Google Map requires a Google Maps API key. Speaker and performer profiles can include names, titles, bios, photos, and social links.
Publish calendars visitors can filter
Display a monthly calendar or an upcoming events list with a Gutenberg block, Elementor widget, or shortcode. Visitors can switch between month, week, and day views, then filter events by calendar, category, or customizable tags. The responsive layouts support optional dark mode and inherit your theme’s styles.
A dashboard widget shows upcoming events. In Pro, it also offers venue and speaker details, along with quick links to recurring events and attendee lists.
Manage tickets, registrations, and RSVPs
Connect Stripe to accept credit card payments for paid event registration. Free events can offer tickets without a payment provider. Registration forms can collect details such as meal choices, t-shirt sizes, or company names.
The RSVP add-on, included with Pro, tracks who is going or not going and keeps attendee details in the dashboard. View ticket holders and orders, then export attendee or event lists to CSV.
Connect meetings and calendars
Connect a Zoom account to add a meeting from the event editor; Sugar Calendar creates it and displays joining details on the event page. A recurring event can use one Zoom join link for the whole series. Connect a Google account to add a Google Meet link to an event.
Google Calendar sync sends events from Sugar Calendar to Google Calendar and brings Google Calendar changes back to your site. Pro syncs recurring event series in both directions. Calendar feeds, subscriptions, and Add to Calendar controls let visitors use Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar, or an ICS download.
Import events from an ICS calendar URL, including calendars from Apple, Google, and Outlook. Choose a schedule for re-syncing and review the history of past imports.
Handle submissions, updates, and event data
Accept event submissions through forms connected to WPForms, Gravity Forms, or Formidable Forms. Review submissions before publishing them. You can also set a custom event URL to send visitors to an external page or ticketing site.
Send ticket holders email updates from the dashboard when plans change. Customize ticket, receipt, and RSVP emails with a template, header image, colors, and smart tags for details such as the event title or date. Preview emails before sending. Modern ticket and RSVP confirmations include an Add to Calendar button and an ICS file.
Export event data as JSON or CSV, choose a date range, and import events from a JSON export. A one-click migration brings events, calendars, and other details over from The Events Calendar.
