Map data to WooCommerce products
The drag-and-drop screen places WooCommerce fields beside a table of source data. Map incoming values to product fields, then run the import and review the products. The add-on includes mapping for product pictures, attributes, categories, tags, and other taxonomies. Its Attributes tab connects incoming attribute values to WooCommerce product attribute fields.
- Import simple, variable, simple subscription, grouped, and external or affiliate products.
- Import variations from properly formatted XML.
- Add new variations to existing variable products through the WooCommerce Products import process.
Schedule catalog updates
Recurring imports can check a file periodically through cron jobs. Depending on the incoming data, they can add, edit, or delete imported products and update their stock status.
Large files are split automatically into chunks. The importer works with practically unlimited file sizes, including product catalogs over 200 MB on shared hosting. CSV files can be edited when column names need to change, though specific column names are not required. UTF-8 encoding is recommended if special characters cause import problems.
Process values with custom PHP
The Pro edition can run custom PHP functions on imported data. A value from an XML field can be passed to a function in the import template, and the function's returned value can be used in the mapped data.
Run the import
- Go to All Import > New Import.
- Upload the import file or select an available URL or FTP/SFTP source.
- Choose WooCommerce Products as the import type.
- Map incoming data to product fields with the drag-and-drop interface.
- Run the import and review the imported products.
