WP Maintenance PRO is the paid edition of the Maintenance extension. Its builder lets WordPress administrators prepare a temporary maintenance, coming soon, or landing page for site work, a launch, or an announcement.
Choose the page styling and message
Start with one of more than 200 themes, then add a logo and background image. Use Backstretch for a full-screen background or apply a blur effect. Set colors for fonts, icons, and the background, and edit the title, headline, and main text to fit the notice or announcement.
Set user access and page behavior
Frontend login enables selected visitors to reach the site while the maintenance page is active. Administrators can use their normal WordPress administrator access or make another WordPress user. The admin bar displays maintenance status, and selected pages can be excluded from maintenance mode.
The 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable response can be enabled or disabled. When it is enabled, the site will not be visible to search engines. The extension supports all popular caching extensions and includes the mtnc_load_maintenance_page_for_this_user filter for changing who sees the maintenance page.
Analytics and font settings
Google Analytics support is available for the temporary page. The plugin uses Bunny Fonts. If you use neither Bunny Fonts nor Google Analytics, the supplied product information states that no resources are loaded or shared with third parties and nothing is tracked. Using either service can involve data sharing or tracking under its terms of service.
Configure the page in WordPress
Install the Maintenance plugin, open its settings, and use the maintenance builder to select a theme. Add the page branding and text, set its background and colors, then configure visitor access, analytics preferences, page exclusions, and the 503 response to suit the site.
