SpeedyCache Pro extends the SpeedyCache extension for WordPress, which must also be installed. Its page cache stores static files on the server and serves them to most users, reducing repeated database queries. Pro adds controls for resource loading, picture and font handling, delivery, and website maintenance.

Manage cached pages

Preload pages at regular intervals, set a cache lifespan to schedule deletion, and clear the cache when posts are created or updated. Mobile Cache can keep a separate cache for mobile devices. Exclusions let you leave selected pages, visitor agents, cookies, CSS, or JavaScript out of the cache. Pro cache statistics cover desktop and mobile files, along with combined or minified CSS and JavaScript. If you use Varnish, SpeedyCache can purge its cache when the SpeedyCache cache is purged.

Choose how resources load

  • Images: Convert images to WebP, lazy load selected resources until they enter the viewport, add missing image dimensions, and preload critical images above the fold.
  • CSS: Minify or combine CSS files, generate Critical CSS for the visible portion of a page, and remove unused CSS.
  • JavaScript and HTML: Minify HTML and JavaScript, delay JavaScript until user interaction, combine footer scripts with Advanced Combine JS, and defer render-blocking JavaScript.
  • Fonts and connections: Load Google Fonts asynchronously and cache them locally. Display Swap keeps text visible while fonts load. Preconnect, preload resources, and Instant Page can establish connections or prepare resources before they are needed.

CDN support rewrites selected static file URLs for delivery through a distributed network. For Cloudflare, the add-on can also purge its cache. GZIP compression reduces the size of files sent from the server, while browser caching lets returning visitors reuse website resources.

Review site maintenance options

Database cleanup removes items such as revisions, trashed content, spam comments, trackbacks, pingbacks, and expired transient options. Object Cache can use Redis to persist cached objects. Bloat Remover provides options for disabling selected WordPress or WooCommerce functions. Other controls include Gravatar caching, DNS prefetch, disabling emoji styles and scripts, and prioritizing font rendering speed.

SpeedyCache also exposes settings and cache actions through the WordPress Abilities API for AI clients, assistants, and MCP adapters. Pro abilities include database optimization, cache and image statistics, image optimization controls, Redis object cache management, and bloat settings.

Configure for your site

Start with cache behavior and exclusions, then introduce image, font, CSS, and JavaScript options as needed. Check pages and scripts that should be excluded from caching, and review the site after enabling resource changes.
