Visibility Logic Pro for Elementor

Set visibility in Elementor

Visibility Logic Pro adds display conditions to Elementor widgets, sections, and containers. Configure rules alongside the content they control to decide who sees it and when, without writing code. Use them for member-only sections, scheduled sale or event content, pages personalized with stored data, layouts that vary by device, or region-specific information.

Choose the data behind each rule

The Pro edition adds conditions for language, URL parameters, user location, dynamic data, ecommerce activity, post context, archives, IP addresses, and referrers. Language rules support WPML, Polylang, and TranslatePress. URL parameter conditions include repeater support and nine operators. Geolocation uses MaxMind to detect the visitor’s country. Dynamic Conditions can use Elementor Pro Dynamic Tags as visibility conditions.

  • Advanced ACF: Use repeater fields, options pages, term meta, visitor fields, and specific post or user sources with AND/OR logic and 17 operators.
  • Advanced user meta: Combine multiple user meta conditions with AND/OR logic.
  • Commerce: WooCommerce rules can use order history, active subscriptions, or customer status. Easy Digital Downloads rules support purchase history and subscription status.
  • Post and archive rules: Target post types, specific pages, taxonomy terms, post type archives, and taxonomy archives.
  • IP and referrer rules: Target users by IP address or referral source.
  • WordPress conditional tags: Use conditional tags as visibility conditions.

Control what happens when content is hidden

Visibility Logic Pro works with Elementor Flexbox containers, classic sections, nested containers, widgets, and sections. Copy and paste visibility settings between widgets or sections to reuse a configuration.

By default, a hidden element is removed from the HTML. Enable Keep HTML / Hide by CSS to keep its markup in the document. You can also replace a hidden element with fallback content, either a custom text message or an Elementor template. The Hide When Empty option hides a parent section or container when visibility conditions have hidden all of its child widgets.

Configure and render a rule

Install the add-on and edit a page with Elementor. Select a widget, section, or container, then open the Visibility tab or go to Advanced > Visibility Control. Enable Visibility Logic, pick a condition, configure its rule, and save the page. The element is then shown or hidden on the live site according to those settings. Visibility conditions are processed server-side during page rendering.

For pages using user-specific conditions with a full-page caching extension, exclude those pages from the cache or use Keep HTML / Hide by CSS with client-side cache.
